Od tamtego czasu trwały intensywne prace zmierzające do udoskonalenia obiektywu i uzyskania możliwie najwyższej jakości optycznej przy jednoczesnym zmniejszeniu jego gabarytów. Owocem tych prac jest zaprezentowany dzisiaj obiektyw Samyang 10mm 1:2.8 ED AS NCS CS, który pod względem parametrów i możliwości z powodzeniem może konkurować z najlepszymi szerokokątnymi konstrukcjami stało- i zmiennogniskowymi dostępnymi na rynku.
Samyang 10mm 1:2.8 ED AS NCS CS jest doskonałym narzędziem do fotografii wnętrz, architektury i krajobrazu. Oferuje wyjątkowo szerokie pole widzenia wynoszące 109.5 stopnia oraz prostoliniowe odwzorowanie obrazu. Dzięki dużemu otworowi względnemu f/2.8 obiektyw sprawdzi się podczas fotografowania w słabych warunkach oświetleniowych. Może być więc z powodzeniem wykorzystywany w fotografii sportowej i reportażowej. Na konstrukcję optyczną obiektywu składa się 14 elementów podzielonych na 10 grup, wśród których znajdują się 2 soczewki asferyczne AS oraz jedna ze szkła ED o bardzo niskim współczynniku dyspersji. Samyang 10mm 1:2.8 ED AS NCS CS jest pierwszym obiektywem wyprodukowanym przez Samyang Optics, w którym zastosowano nanokrystaliczną powłokę antyrefleksyjną. Charakteryzuje się ona mniejszym współczynnikiem odbicia niż powłoki (U)MC, a sam proces jej nakładania zapewnia lepsze dopasowanie do struktury powierzchni soczewki.
